Raised in a small Northern California town Jim was raised by two very committed Christian parents. At the age of 18 while in the basic training for the army, Jim gave his life to Jesus Christ. Not long thereafter the Lord called Jim into the ministry. His first ministry was as a Youth Pastor in Walnut Creek. It wasn't long after that he met Karen, who was also raised in a Christian home. They were married shortly there after (49 years ago). Together the Booths pastored five Northern California congregations. They started two of those churches as well as one in Sierra Leone, West Africa, where they served as Assembly of God Missionaries. In 2008 the Booths accepted an invitation to become the pastors of Faith Fellowship in Bedford VA.
"This is one of the most exciting and rewarding times of our lives" Jim has stated many times. They continue to look forward to many years here in downtown Bedford.
